When a user is assigned to a file as an appraiser, WebFMS detects whether or not they have already installed the WebFMS Appraiser Plugin. If it is not detected, they will see a notification at the top of WebFMS noting that certain functions require the plugin.


To check/install the plugin, please click Export under File in WebFMS, then click the link at the top right of the popup.


FAQs


Q. Why does FMS still display the green banner to install the plugin when I've just finished the installation steps?


A. After installing for the first time, the page must be refreshed to remove the banner. This can be done by hitting the refresh button, logging out and back in, or navigating to a different page.


Q. I have refreshed the page / This was installed in the past. Why is the banner still present?


A. Confirm that the plugin is still available and active in Chrome. This can be done by:


a. Enter chrome://extensions in the address bar (can be copy/pasted)


b. Click Chrome's Menu button (three vertical dots) -> More Tools -> Extensions.


Locate the WebFMS Appraiser Plugin and click the bottom right toggle to enable the extension. See screenshots below (left - disabled, right - enabled).


If the plugin does not show, follow the steps at the top of this page to reinstall.
